PP Fume Hood – Full Technical Description
1. Construction & Material
The entire cabinet is fabricated from 8–10mm thick premium acid- and alkali-resistant polypropylene (PP), formed via precision CNC bending or injection molding, then seamlessly welded using advanced hot-air welding technology. The surface is smooth, weld-free, and non-porous—ideal for high-corrosion environments where prolonged acid exposure could compromise standard steel hoods. This design ensures long-term chemical resistance, easy cleaning, and zero risk of leakage or permeation.
2. Baffle System
Features a three-section removable PP baffle system on the top and side panels. The scientifically angled design enables efficient separation and exhaust of gases based on density: heavier-than-air vapors are captured at the lower section, while lighter-than-air fumes rise and exit through the upper channels. This ensures uniform airflow distribution, eliminates dead zones, and maximizes fume extraction efficiency—critical for labs handling volatile corrosives.
3. Integrated Water & Electrical System
All electrical components—including control panels and power outlets—are housed in fully sealed, corrosion-isolated compartments to prevent chemical damage. The sink and faucet are monobloc injection-molded from high-density PP, offering excellent aging resistance, crack-proof performance, and seamless integration with the work surface.
4. Sash Window & Counterbalance System
The sash window features a frameless or slim-edge design for maximum visibility and unobstructed workflow. The counterweight system is fully enclosed within the front cover and wrapped entirely in PP material—eliminating metal parts that could corrode or rust. This ensures smooth, silent, and maintenance-free sash operation even after years of use in aggressive chemical environments.
