1. Packing characteristics
Porous Divinylbenzene: The packing of GDX column is Porous Divinylbenzene (PDB), which has large specific surface area and uniform pore size distribution.
Adsorption selectivity: It has strong adsorption capacity for small molecule gases such as C₁-C₂ hydrocarbons (e.g., methane, ethane), CO, CO₂, etc., and weak adsorption for large molecule gases (e.g., hydrocarbons above C₃).
2. Applicable analytical objects
Gas samples: such as hydrocarbon components (C₁-C₂) and inorganic gases (CO, CO₂) in natural gas, refinery gas, mine gas.
Volatile Organic Compounds (VOCs): e.g. low molecular weight VOCs in indoor air, industrial exhaust gases.
3. Selective advantage
Can effectively separate methane (CH₄) from ethane (C₂H₆).
The separation of CO and CO₂ is better than molecular sieve column.
4. Stability and lifetime
Chemical inertness: the packing is chemically stable, acid and alkali corrosion resistant, suitable for complex sample analysis.
Thermal stability: it can be used at higher temperatures (usually ≤200℃) and is not easy to be lost or decomposed.
Long life: under standardized operation, the column is stable and has a long life.
5. Compatibility
Instrument compatibility: It is suitable for all kinds of gas chromatographs (e.g. Shimadzu, Agilent, Thermo Fisher, etc.), with strong versatility.
